Warranty Policy
At Winston Instruments, your satisfaction and confidence in our products mean everything to us. We design our CarPlay integration systems to be reliable, easy to use, and long-lasting, and we back them with dedicated support to make sure you’re taken care of if something goes wrong.
Each unit is protected by a 2-year limited warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and proper installation. This coverage applies only to the CarPlay system sold by Winston Instruments and does not extend to the vehicle’s factory screen, wiring, or any other automotive components we do not manufacture or sell.
Our warranty covers issues such as:
- Device or electronic failure
- Screen or display malfunctions of the Winston Instruments system
- Audio or speaker failure
To ensure that issues present at delivery are addressed quickly, we also provide a Defective on Arrival (DOA) policy. If a unit arrives defective and does not function out of the box, it must be reported within 2 business days of delivery to qualify as DOA. Claims submitted after this period will be processed under the standard warranty. This helps us distinguish true shipping or manufacturing defects from damage that may occur during installation or handling.
The warranty does not cover:
- Theft, loss, or vehicle-related damage
- Accidental damage, including damage caused during installation or mishandling
- Water damage, misuse, or intentional modifications
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect normal function
- Labor or third-party installation/removal costs
If your system experiences a verified manufacturer defect during the warranty period, Winston Instruments will, at its discretion, repair or replace the unit. To start the process, contact our support team by email at customersupport@winstoninstruments.com to submit a claim and receive return authorization. Once the unit is returned, it will be inspected, and if the defect is confirmed, Winston Instruments will cover the cost of repair or replacement, including return shipping.
The Winston Instruments warranty is generally non-transferable. However, in cases where the product is given as a gift to a family member or relative, the warranty can be transferred if Winston Instruments is notified in advance of the claim. This notice must be submitted by email within 30 days of purchase and include the recipient’s name and contact information. Once verified, the warranty will be transferred to the new owner.
If your unit is outside the warranty period, or if damage falls outside of what the warranty covers, Winston Instruments may still provide repair or replacement options at a reduced cost. Our goal is to ensure you have long-lasting confidence in your system and support you even after the standard coverage ends.
At Winston Instruments, we’re committed to making sure your CarPlay system enhances your driving experience without worry. If you ever have questions, need help, or want guidance with your product, our support team is here to assist you every step of the way.
